I am a BACP accredited, fully insured counsellor, supervisor and support group facilitator with over 20 years experience of working with clients both in an organisational setting and in private practice.

I trained in integrative therapeutic counselling, which, in other words means that I was introduced to the most popular counselling models and synthesised those that felt most meaningful to me and, in the fullness of time, arrived at the way I practice today. I have worked for and/or provided training to many 'addictions'-based services including KCA, Turning Point and one of the most globally established and enduring HIV/AIDS organisations, Terrence Higgins Trust, where I set up and ran the substance misuse and addictions counselling arm of their well-being department. 

I have worked sessionally as a counselling teacher/trainer for City & Islington College, Barking College and the BACP accredited counselling training school, CPPD, based in Hornsey, London. As a freelancer I offer workshop presentations on a variety of pertinent subjects including Sexual Orientation, Sexuality Issues In The Therapy Room, Substance Misuse & The Psychology Of Addictions, Sex/Love Addiction & Codependency and Counselling Skills for Health Professionals.


Other roles: sessional counsellor for SurvivorsUK, specialisists in 1-to-1 counselling and groupwork with male survivors of childhood sexual abuse, counsellor and supervisor at Anglia Ruskin University, supervisor at University of the Arts, London and staff counsellor at Cambridge University. Additionally, I have spoken at both the 17th and 18th Annual HIV Nurses Association conferences in Leeds and Manchester on the subject of sexuality, sexual health and addiction.
